FITNESS IS A LADDER.

Lion’s Heart leads a universal model of progressive physical fitness through the Lion’s Ladder, allowing us to clearly measure fitness within ourselves and improve upon it over time.

Start at the bottom. Work(out) your way up.

Each benchmark workout tests the range of your athletic ability in the areas ofagility, strength and endurance, and allows you to progress to the next level within each category—this ensures a safe and balanced foundation of form-focused fitness that meets you wherever you are on the Lion’s Ladder.

THE BENCHMARKS

FIGHT, FLIGHT AND FLOW

In testing for agility, strength and endurance, you will encounter three different types of benchmark workouts in order to accurately assess your level on the Lion’s Ladder:

FLOW

Primarily tests agility and a mind/body connection. You will smoothly perform a series of yoga poses that display competency in range of motion, coordination, balance and accuracy throughout every muscle in the body.

FIGHT

Primarily tests strength and endurance simultaneously. A mix of gymnastics and weightlifting is used to complete a numerically-set physical workload within a set time and with good form.

FLIGHT

Primarily tests endurance and speed. Both a distance and a sprint time are required to take the next step up the ladder, and by learning how to engage proper gait, you are engraining healthy and safe movement with each step.
